My Lord's Sonnet

How do You love me? I cannot comprehend the ways.

You love me with a depth and breadth and height

No soul can understand. When I lost my sight,

You showed me a reason for living through Amazing Grace.

You meet me at different level in every day's

Most quiet need, in sun or darkest night.

You love me freely, for You gave Your life.

You love me purely, so I give You praise.

You love me with a passion that You use

To soothe my griefs, and grow my childlike faith.

You love me with a love that set me loose

From Satan's chains--Your love fills all

My body, mind, spirit, and soul---and, when You call me home,

You will love me even better after death.
